American Born Chinese

American Born Chinese* is a feature film screenplay that I co-wrote with Jennie Bond. It's a coming-of-age dramedy of a Taiwanese-American comedienne, who uses her family as material, who returns home to her ailing grandfather and confronts her family.

In 2012, our screenplay reached the Scriptapalooza Quarterfinals. We also hosted a successful table read with the talents of Wanru Tseng, Carin Chea, Sherry Shaoling, Cyndee San Luis, Tohoru Masamune, Thomas Iaso Morinaka, Brian Takahashi, and Paul Nguyen.

American Born Chinese is currently in the process of acquiring financing.
